This washed coffee was grown from 980-1400 masl in soil consisting of clay minerals.This coffee is certified organic and consists of the varietals Caturra, Catuai, Bourbon, Catimor, and Marogogype

With a focus on quality and environmental responsibility, Juan de Dios Castillo (the family agronomist) and his 4 siblings started the export company J&M Family Coffee.They named their company after their parents with the most immediate intent to export their parents coffee to the international coffee market. Upon realizing that they were surrounded by numerous producers with the same focus, they formed Cooperativa Multifuncional Family Coffee or COOMULFAC so there was more organized efforts to achieve things like fair trade and organic certification.
