MARCALA, LA PAZ

This certified organic coffee is fully washed and consists of the varieties Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, Lempira, Ihcafe, Pacas, and Typica and is grown between 1300 – 1700 meters above sea level.

This coffee comes from the municipality of Marcala which is a protected designation of origin (DENOMINACION DE ORIGEN CAFE DE MARCALA) in the department of La Paz. The growing of this coffee is attributed to the 1,500 producer-members of Café Organico Marcala, S.A., a revolutionary co-op that focuses on education, quality and ecology.
