This lot of SL-28 and SL-34 varieties was grown at 1700-1800 masl and prepared in the Nyeri region on the Southern slopes of Mt. Kenya. This coffee was washed at the Barichu Cooperative Society with fresh river water from the Kirigu river and dried on raised beds.

This is the first time I’ve featured a coffee from Kenya on the menu and I couldn’t be happier with this coffee. It has such a dynamic range to its complex flavor profile. Aromatic hints of jasmine green tea are anchored by notes of Rolo candy and very dark chocolate. All this punctuated by a juicy presence of citrus. If you like a clean and complex cup of coffee, this one is for you!
