HUEHUETENANGO, ASOBAGRI, SANTA CRUZ BARILLAS, GUATEMALA
Grown in the Santa Cruz Barillas region of Huehuetenango in Guatemala, this decaffeinated coffee is delightful. It’s curated from lots selected for cup profile, physical preparation, and potential to express beautifully after undergoing the process of decaffeination. The delicate process draws out caffeine while minimizing the loss of flavor compounds.
This organic coffee consists of Bourbon, Catuai, and Caturra varieties, and is cultivated in clay mineral soil 1,650 meters above sea level. It’s grown and harvested by Asociación Barillense de Agricultores (ASOBAGRI) and is fully washed before being dried in the sun.
